Hi guys

one of the biggest announcements from Historicon was that Hubert Cater of Fury Software has signed Strategic Command 3 with us. We're very excited to get the chance to work with Hubert and here are the notes for his presentation from the event. Hubert's presentation was obviously a lot more exciting than this but it gives a feel for the discussion topics at the event!

If anyone who isn't familiar with the brand has questions, I can answer those for you. The SC franchise has always been a big favourite of mine, along with the "Commander" series, and Battle Academy. In addition to my years of testing and proofreading with Slitherine, I have also played Strategic Command for years, right from its "shareware" days. In recent years, I have also had the pleasure of being a beta tester for Fury. So feel free to ask me, either by PM or through the forum.

Jim :D

I have been following the gossip the last couple of days, and Hubert needs to seeeeeriously make a statement to the effect the screenies are ALPHA ALPHA ALPHA :)

They have been reacting like the images are near finished it would seem.

Funny in the extreme the way some wargamers can fail to see the obvious occasionally.

Hubert's on holiday, but I am sure your post will be enough for now; and just in case anyone missed it, I have highlighted it in bold text :)

Thanks everyone :)

I am officially on a short holiday but I just quickly wanted to pop in to say that we are really looking forward to what we'll be able to achieve with the SC3 franchise under the Slitherine Group... and having access to the Lordz media development team resources certainly can't hurt either ;)

From the pictures, it seems that SC3 will use hexs instead of squares ?

Strategic Command 3 seems to be a big update of Strategic Command 2. Happy to see that the series continues its evolution with Slitherine :)

I am really confused?

I suppose Strartegic Command World at War is Strategic Command 2?

But that was only recently released whereas the Strategic Command 3 was announced back in 2013?

What are the latest updates? Any clarity?

HI: not sure if yo can help me or not. I was recently scammed and I had to erase all on my pc. I am now up and running again. Was able to DL all my games on Steam. Problem is I do not have Strategic Command/War in Europe and World at War on Steam. Is there any way I can get the serial number in order to re install this game? thanks

Bob

Contact support desk at Slitherine or Matrix, either can help you restore.

The one on the Matrix and Slitherine sites is the most current. Not sure about the naming conundrum.
