I have been sitting on the fence for quite a while before I bought this game, and now I am addicted. Great interface, smooth gameplay. May be the most accessable grand strategy game since Panzer General. Now I am looking for a PBEM opponent. Anybody up for a game?

I am looking for more players, but I have a lot of experience so not sure I would be best the choice for you to start with.

Great - glad you are enjoying it. If you like it don't forget to spread the word to other forums as the marketing budget for this type of game is very small and word of mouth actually works a lot better! Hopefully that will give you a few more opponents to play in PBEM

Thanks!
Feel free to spread the word about CEaW since it is very difficult to market a small niche game effectively. Due to this, might take a while before we get anough fanbase to get to the point where the community feeds itself and where multiplayer opponents are easy to find

Johan, Bill Trotter's review at The Wargamer sums up my impressions exactly, and it ought to help spread the word...stay on track, this game has huge potential.

You have unleashed a game with enormous potential here. I don't know how adaptable the underlying engine is but I'm sure there is a market for ...
1. ancient/medieval version: with scenarios such as The Punic Wars, Rome v The Barbarians, The Mongol Invasion, etc.
2. musket era version: Napoleonic Wars, Wars Of The Spanish and Austrian Succession etc.
Congratulation on producing a wargame that appeals to so many.

And let's not forget the war in the Pacific.

What I would love to see is an expansion into the Cold War era.
