can i ask a really silly question,.. iv'e been playing since panzercorps first came out,..are UNBALANCED (historical) multiplayer maps called such, because one player has a clear advantage,.. or is it because the amount of units differ, but the objective is easier for the side with less units?? if it is the first option , could this be included in the description? .. if it's the second option, .. then 'unbalanced' have still been playtested and adjusted so each side has the same chance of victory .. right?

Always the multiplayer discussions get the cold shoulder, too bad.
So I'll see if I can field this one. To try and answer your questions, well it varies on a scenario by scenario basis, but all of the above problems apply to those unbalanced multiplayer maps. They weren't created that way or meant to be unbalanced, but that is how they often turned out. Why is that? Generally not for lack of effort or testing, but for the simple fact that they were designed with an entirely different game mode in mind.
They are campaign maps that have been altered and modified slightly to be somewhat playable as multiplayer maps. Regardless of the amount of effort or good intention put into these alterations, ultimately you are not going to have a good result because you are working with the wrong foundation.
It's like the IJN Hyuga. For those that don't know what I mean basically the Hyuga and her sister ship Ise were laid down as battleships. After the disastrous carrier losses at Midway, Japan needed more aircraft carriers, so they tried to change these battleships into carriers. Suffice to say, these ships lost their ability to be good battleships and at the same time, really weren't very good aircraft carriers either, having a maximum capacity of only 22 aircraft and only the ability to launch aircraft but with no way to recover them.

I can't make any promises, the maps you are referring to are not under my control.

aww! ok .. well how about making some more as a multiplayer map pack, where we could pick/upgrade our entire force based on points? i would buy it? .. i really don't have time to make my own... why not put the question out there? i'm sure there would be many takers .. you have perfected this game as much as can be achieved, allied corps is sooo good.. the ai was getting a little too clever in the last of the panzer corps series, but it's pretty much spot on now. i think it was you who i played in hylan valley.. i said that allies were too weak in gameplay,.. and you proved me wrong , i've won sooo many hylan valleys now with the allies, cos too many rely on the power of the unstoppable biggies,.. but fail to be able to react to attacks elsewhere .. so thanks for that

( i was the guy who put up the impenetrable fortress in N.E. just to show there was a LITTLE justification with my comment haha! .. crocodiles make playing with allies fun on hylan (the howitzer churchills seem a bit inept though,.. but that's probably me lol!) ... you guys are doing (and have done) a great job with this game .. get some gypsy jazz going in the background! .. i'll write you some!! .. the music is the first thing i switch off .. soooo sombre and depressing! .. but that really is the smallest niggle .. and thanks for taking time to answer too !
