1st MP game (ever) Shepards

I have not played online for over 13 years and was a little concerned about my speed of my internet. I live in the western part of CO (USA) and use a mobile hotspot (3g) for my internet. I have also avoided playing MP because I work in the mountains and have spotty cell service so was very leery of ping rates or dropping out of service and losing the turn. Starting a game was easy and both at home (and at work) I was able to play games. (side note: I do have a fair amount of down time at my job and am able to play games, so I am not slacking!) The interface was easy and having a slow internet connection did not hamper my game play. I have sent out several invites for friends to play.
About the scenario Shepherds: I did get my butt handed to me, and enjoyed the game so much that it did not matter! (too much). The size of the map initially felt to big, until the action started.... WE had almost immediate contact as we both pushed our attacking forces on the northern part of the map. I have learned about attacking in strength and having units surrender (the hard way). (also the use of light units to finish off a target)
I did enjoy the gamesmanship of the scenario and have since read the comments about the trucks..... I enjoyed it, and playing cat and mouse with the trucks trying (not successfully) to lure the enemy away from the bulk of my trucks was challenging. I am currently just starting the 2nd map (cornfields) and am looking forward to playing.
Couple of random thoughts after first MP game... curious if you could limit the morale loss for one turn? (prevents full strength units from getting overrun in one turn... I am changing tactics to compensate)
I have also had some units not return fire allowing the enemy units to fire 2-3 times before they returned fire or were suppressed. (Sherman was hit by Panther from behind which could have been reason (sneaky Germans!))
All in all I enjoyed my first MP game (last time I played a MP game was Total Annihilation on windows 98) Thank you for everything! Enjoying the game!
I am not trying to find the Player and play another game (hopefully I was not too much of a pushover) and am looking to add him as a friend/foe? Loved the chat interface.... curious if you could add play another game request at the end of a match?
