For all of you war gamers out there who think that Dieppe is too hard for the Allies here are some useful tactics that have beaten quality players.

ALLIES
Blue Beach-Basically you mass up ALL of your men and assault blue beach with overwhelming odds. Careful though! If the Germans find the Fleet you do risk fire from 3 152MM and a 105MM so try and sink the German Naval Scouts as fast as you can. This tactic was created by The Map creator Gottalove88's.

White Beach-Same thing as Blue except even riskier! Since the German Naval Convoy is located there you are going to hope they spread out. And since white beach is VERY close to the shore once your in the clear you will be able to land all your men in 1 or 2 turns. Created by Me And Ranger

False Smoke- Smoke is the way to tell where a landing is taking place. If you use it as bait however you can throw the Naval Scouts off your trail. Created by Gottalove88's

Separating-A risky tactic. By Dividing your forces you have a better chance of capturing your VP's but your manpower is down. So use this one wisely. A variety of players have tried this tactic out.

Naval Bait- when you have landed your troops and have no use of the Landing Craft use them as bait to take Guns/Ships out. Or if your in range attack German Infantry. Used by Variety of Players

Port Assault- if you can pull this of you are brave. The most heavily defended part the beach. Littered with Ships 152MM and Arty Barrages from both sides of the port if you can get off the beach the roads lead to the Inner Port Casino and Center of Town. You can also flank the Germans on White beach via the railroads. Used by variety of player most notably Ranger.

GERMANS
Roadblocking- numerous roads are critical to the Allies Advance. By blocking them off Churchill's and Recon/Jeeps will be denied of access and have to waste manpower and time to continue the advance. Created by Me

Naval Transport- If the Allies are using a Blue or White beach tactic and you have a lot of men on the other side of the Map use Naval Units to get them across the outer harbor and to the Combat zone. Created by Me

Rushing- if you get Close enough to a Destroyer they will not be able to sink you. Variety of Players have done this. This also applies to Coastal Guns and 105MM Gun.

That's it for my tactics list. If you have more you would like to share that you created feel free to post and I will add it to the list. Hopefully these will help a lot of people claiming the Allies are impossible to gain victory. If you still think its impossible in the near future a "Easy Dieppe" will be added with no German Naval Forces fewer aircraft and 152MM Guns.

Nice initiative to help the newbies, LandMarine...

Your White Beach rollup is a classic. Very nice when executed well. Ranger resigned our first game, soon after I landed enough marines to take out his coastal gun on the Western Heights. Because Allies can go Blue Beach or White (plus others not yet disclosed), it should keep Germans on their toes, with divided forces... Meaning Allies are able to concentrate against a halved enemy force, likely to feel pressed to play catch up...

Ranger's got some neat tricks up his sleeves too... He deploys his German engineers to draw lines of tank traps across the beach exits, delaying Allied Churchill tanks from finding clear routes, and making Allied engineers essential, to re-clear some of these sneaky traps...

I do this near the church at the port bridges and the rail roads. :) stops the Allies Cold in their tracks. At blue beach I block off the beach exits. So it is an very effective tactic and can buy you some time.
