Hi there, I'm finding myself in central London next week. Just off
Cavendish road to be precise. Is this close to central London wargames?
and is it the sort of place I can turn up and join in a game?

Central London now meets smack bang in the middle of London - just of Oxford Street so you should be able to get to it. For details and map there is a link on Tims site - madaxeman dot ect.

There is quite often a game on where people can join in - if by next week you mean the 23rd rather than the 16th there will be an Ironclad Naval game that you would be welcome to join - my 1880s French fleet is coming out to face a Anglo German alliance. Other weeks there is quite often something onthat you can join - never a garentee though.

If you are after an ancients game best to arrange before hand. There are a few people that are going to play FOG at Reading so there will be people up for a practise game. If you can't provide an army some people may be willing to bring 2 armies to give you a game (depending if they drive or use public transport and go dtraigght from work / via home).

It will be the 16th (day after tommorrow).. I won't have any chance to bring any stuff though
