Sorry if this has been covered before ( I looked in the first 6 pages and couldn't find anything), but I was thinking about picking up BA especially now that the sale has been extended (I guess conventional thinking has been upended and sales actually do produce more revenue than sticking with the regular price-who wouda thunk it?).

I don't own an iPad yet but I'm thinking about getting one thanks to the iPad's good selection of board/strategy games. It's also $5 cheaper than the PC version. So what I'm wondering is, is there any reason why I might want to pick up the PC version instead? Also, is it even possible for me to buy iPad software without actually owning an iPad? Can I log onto iTunes (the idea of putting that abomination on my computer makes me dry heave) and purchase it through there even if I don't have an iPad registered?

I think it's possible to buy an iOS game without a device registered, although I've never tried it! I guess the worst case would be that it would warning you that you have no devices.

The only real different PC to iOS (other than what you can play it on ) is that the iPad version doesn't support an editor, while the PC version does.
