Ok, confession time... I started with the iPad version a year ago (BA was best strat game on the iPad then, and remains the best today)... then bought the Mac version because I wanted to get into messing around to try to knock together a few new maps... and, yup, with your great deal, I've finally succumbed to buying the PC version too (because, from forum screenshots, the PC version seems to have MUCH better graphics, greater detail, water effects, ground level views, etc, etc).

Now... getting my cash ready for BA2!!

The PC and OSX versions should look pretty much identical, other than the water. They do use slightly different shadow approaches, but the resolutions and clarity should be the same. They use identical assets etc so no difference there .

So, in closing, really only the water is any different AFAIK!

Pip, It could be that the PC screenshots look so much better than Mac screenshots because nearly all of them seem to be taken close up, using the low ground view which is considered a 'non official feature' only available on the PC... unless I missed something?

It's not a problem because I'm sure Slith developed for PC first, then added later for Mac... but I did want to use this, so it was worth ante-ing up for the PC version... It's a great game!

Hey Pip! Actually you remind me... Is BA2 being designed so that Mac players can experience the same water effects, low to ground 3D view, etc, as PC players? It would be great to add that in...

(Forgive that this may not be the best thread but it seemed to follow on... Let me know if you prefer me to move this to Tech Support or BA2 threads?)

It's a limitation in OGL1.1 (which we use). We are not planning to rewrite the core engine to use a later OGL, and I've not been able to find something that could give the same effect. That said, we could probably add in something better for OSX users, at least a small amount of animation etc.

Oh poor me I didn't have any money (actually I never have much but that comes down to the kids and wife ) at the time of the sale.
Are you sure there won't be another sale anytime ? (On the iPad version)

Maybe if I keep begging you'll change your mind about a sale I'd don't want to have to pay double just as I had no money the week the sale was on
Also the App Store description is still the sale one so it might need changing.

Right I'm finished with my begging guess I can live without out BA until Later on in the year

Never mind after all that complaining and begging I've just sold my collectors edition of zelda so I'm picking this up tonight after all.
