Random map battles

Just a few thoughts on this. Personally I enjoy using Merr's random maps for multiplayer games. The campaign maps are great for single player but in multiplayer mode it doesn't take long before these get a bit repetitive (some more so than others) and overly familiar. The random maps are great in that both players are unfamiliar with the territory, the unit selection is always interestingly esoteric, and the resulting scenarios are often very unbalanced. All this adds up to a continuous supply of fresh and challenging battles. I'm a bit curious as to why this hasn't been implemented more fully in BA. It'd be great to have a little more control over how these are generated e.g. Number of turns, odds of certain terrain features appearing, size of terrain, force size, number of victory flags, etc.
Interested to hear what others think?

It's definitely something that a % of players really love. We are planning for a fully featured skirmish mode for SP and MP in BA2.

Cheers

That sounds great, thanks for the heads-up. When is BA2 likely to be making an appearance and will it bit across all platforms simultaneously?

We don't have a hard date for BA2 yet, but we do expect a pretty-much sim launch across all platforms.

Cheers
