WARFARE NOTICE

Appeal from the organiser of warfare

I attach the latest Warfare entry spreadsheet. I've only had two new names, Paul Cummins and Martin van Tol. I mentioned Jonathon Smith and his pal last week, I think, but (probably due to the postal strikes) I haven't had their NDAs back yet.
Paul says he is already NDAd, and I think that Martin is too?
No cheques from any of these 4, which again I suspect is due to the postal strikes so please don't delay dealing with Paul or Martin on that account. Seems to be a general pattern, unsurprisingly. I've had contact (direct and indirect) from about half of the people I would expect - we're up to 50 total. Only 1 DBR, so I need to start hassling the DBR boys.
You may have seen my postings to the BHGS, dbm and dbmm-lists last night appealing for e-mail notification of entries, rather than just relying on the post. Could I ask you to copy it over/put a similar message on the FOG message-boards?
Thanks,
Tim

21 does not include me I think. I have offered to be a "reserve of last resort" as I would prefer to spend the weekend at the show shopping and with friends but if numbers are odd I will step up and take my lumps.

To be honest I rather want to play and by offering to ballance numbers I can just about justify playing to Michele if it would stop someone else getting a bye ;)

Aha so can we expect a FoGgy McPants moment in a fortnight ;)

22 is a great turnout but it means that my reserve of last resort status may not come into play. A good excuse to dust of my 25mm's perhaps.

Perhaps my best plan of action is to submit a list, take my army with me to Reading then turn up early on Saturday and see how many players actually turn up?

Sounds a good idea to me James

If it would help Hammy's social arrangements I suspect I could do one day if he wanted to do the other to make up numbers - I'll be trolling along to Warfare one of the days anyway so I could fill in if necessary. Assuming there are odd numbers, of course.

I would be happy to share the reserve roll with Nik. Which day would you prefer to play? I suspect that for me it would be better if I played on the Saturday but will need to check with my hosts.

Of course if we find a full extra player none of this will be required.

You play whichever day is more convenient to you - I have no preference its just that I can only make one day but it can be Saturday or Sunday.

Note that if I am required it will probably mean 2 lucky players get lots of points as it would be my 2nd and 3rd FoG games

Not having played many games of FoG is actually not an indicator of you being easy meat.

Now if you use the sons of the desert then perhaps you may be right ;)

It looks like Clive Vaughan has stepped up to make the numbers to 22 without the Hamilton Gaukroger tag team. I will still keep an eye on entries but it looks like I will be able to heckle and shop rather than play.

It appears that Simon is going to have to drop out for personal reasons.

I will therefore make sure I pack an army, submit a list (although it probably makes sense to send it to someone other than Si) and be there on Saturday morning. Nik can you cover for Sunday? If there is another no show I will just go round the show and let Nik know he need not bring toys on Sunday.

Assuming that Nik and I are doing one day each does it make sense for us to sit at the bottom of the draw or should we just follow the draw?
