combined or separated installations of add-ons?

Hi there,
I've just bought Allied Corps and now own Panzer Corps, Afrika Korps and Allied Corps. Since I noticed that the Afrika Korps installation merged Panzer Corps and Afrika Korps in one single installation I was just wondering if it is possible to install every program (i.e. Panzer Corps, Afrika Korps and Allied Corps) separately? So one could start each stand-alone program on its own which among other things would allow to play each intro and show each menu screen (in the combined installation there's always only one intro and one screen as far as I noticed). So I think it should be possible if another installation path is chosen with each installation. However, I was just wondering if there are any benefits (or disadvantages) for each method? Sure you can only play the campaigns etc. of each program, but that wouldn't be a real hindrance.
Thanks for ideas/infos!
