Game is crashing on launch with Windows 7

I'm using WIndows 7 SP1 /64bits - Asus notebook G73jh 8GB RAM with ATI Radeon HD 5870
The game checked for the latest updates and starts to load a lot of stuff - I can see a black screen with a logo in the middle of the screen. Type of objects to be loaded and percentages will be displayed in the left bottom corner of the screen. Very quickly, I can see the text "creating gui" and that's it..no more update. The screen remains like frozen. This may be because an error alert has been displayed in the background, not visible on the foreground., that I can see from the Task manager.
The error alert states:
"Pandora has encountered a problem and needs to close. contact support.".
I can create a DMP file and it's 764MB.
