Rommel Beta Thumbs Up,..way up!

So far I've played a few of the single player scenarios,..and all looks good so far,....but what I'm most interested in, is the Multi-player mode.

and you guys have created a winner here!
I'm playing all of the maps in MP, and so far,...I love each one. You guys really outdid yourself.
I don't have all the map names straight so far,..but the "All Tank" map is awesome,.......I was hoping for a pure tank vs tank,..and I got it.

I also like the new features of holding flags for points,..and especially the concept of the point system based on kills.
Although,...the concept of killing 10 transports for 100 points each is strange,..and I'm not entirely sold on it yet.
I like the idea,..its just that I suppose you'll just hide those babies in the nether reaches. Or protect them with a wall o' tanks.

So far I haven't found any glitches,....not yet at least.
I was a disappointed in the MP maps in Operation Sealion,...BUT really guys,..EVERY map here in Rommel beta is solid!

Oh and I like the landing beach map,...but I'm still trying to figure if it's balanced. However,...it also all depends where you deploy your troops.
Right now,..I'd say, don't change any of the balances in the maps,..it's still too early to have learned the nuances,..hiding places..and deployment challenges.

I'm a very happy camper right now! :)

Glad you are having fun. The "truck hunting" is just something a little different - as you say, I think people will need to adapt tactics on that mission depending on the counter-tactics of their opponent!

Cheers

Pip

Still playing the beta,..mostly the multi-player games.
So far,...haven't seen anything that seems buggy. Still too early to tell,..but the forces seem to be right in all scenarios.
What might initially seem lop-sided,...is actually offset by tactics, initial deployment, and terrain.
Good case in point is the Cornfields map. Tank vs. Tank. Love it!
Initially it appears that the German will slaughter the Allies,......however,....I see the Allies as having the upper hand.
That being said,....the Allied player MUST use tactics, terrain,..and above all patience.

As far as the Campaigns,...
I've played them on the hardest setting,..but in my honest opinion,..seems the AI should be tougher.
