Noticed that the Advanced Option really do nothing when playing the East or West campaign. No matter where I put the sliders or what option I tick. It was the same in the Beta as well, was working fine for the Allied campaign but not for East or West (though have to admit I did not report it at the time *cough*).

Can someone elaborate on these?

Specifically what is prestige soft cap?
How do class specific experience effects work?

Prestige soft cap works by calculating the total prestige of all your deployed units + their overstrength cost. Units in reserve do not count. The higher this is, the less prestige you earn from everything (capturing flags, after mission).

Thus, a super elite core full of 15-strength heavy tanks and jet fighters is still invincible, but won't earn you very much prestige. I think it's 20% lower cap?

A more "historical" core of some medium/heavy tanks, some older model units, without full overstrength, will probably earn you 100% prestige.

Keep in mind that with the progressive overstrength cost, overstrengthing everything is the number one contributor to this cap. Thus, if you want to earn the maximum prestige, be careful with your overstrength choices.

Interesting. What about the class specific experience?

Class experience effects is a great addition. Basically, now each 100 exp applies a certain bonus to a unit class. For infantry, for instance, it's 0.5 IN, 1 SA, 0.5 HA, 1 GD, and 1 CD. This solves the problem of infantry not getting nearly enough bonuses from experience.

Certainly classes get extra bonuses now. AT units get 2 HA per 100 exp, fighters 2 AA. Initiative bonuses have been lowered generally, so you can no longer rely on the supreme combo of crushing IN and crushing HA to destroy AI units with overstrength tanks and be almost guaranteed to take 0 losses. You'll still destroy the AI units with those tanks, but you might lose 1-2 strength points on occasion.

Where a those "Advanced Options" ? Are they only available in Allied Corps ? Can't find them.

Same here... also... why on earth do I suddenly have the allied Corps interface when playing the Grand Campaign? I have an allied star, the unit graphics show the allied unit screens with the little allied medal to indicate medals instead of the iron cross.... uh... I like the interace for Allied Corps, but I don't want to use it when playing the Germans... is that a bug or is this really working as designed. I even hear the Allied Corps music now when playing the GC :(

Edit: forget it, I just found out I can switch that in the main menu when starting a new game. Phew. Never new that :D Everything is ok. Except I still don't know where those advanced options are.

Edit2: Ah found it... available when starting a new game... I see. So I guess I'll play my ongoing GC42 with the old rules since I cannot change that mid-campaign and I can then switch when I start GC43?

One thing I'd also like to suggest: This new custom difficulty tab. Would it be possible in a future patch to integrate that if you select a basic difficulty, the sliders in the advance tab will automatically be set to what the basic difficulty represents? That way I could e.g. select Rommel, then go to advanced, and modify Rommel difficulty slightly. Instead of starting from scratch. Also that would make it a bit more obvious what the basic difficulties actually are.

In 1.20 you can also switch mid-scenario, use "DIFFICULTY" button on the victory screen.

Ah nice. Just tried the replay feature too. Looks cool. One request I'd have would be... would it be possible via option for the replay system to hide undone moves? So only the final moves are shown? Sometimes it's confusing to see moves which are repeatedly undone until the final move happens. Otherwise really cool feature!

I can't get it to download. Every time I try to update the game from the ingame launcher it downloads to almost the end and then fails. I also tried downloading the zip file and the same thing happened, failed at 99% complete. Is there anywhere else I can download it at?

Absolutely awesome guys.
Havn't tried out the patch yet but am very excited after reading some of the changes. Really happy to see experience, entrenchments and overstrength improved upon and having more custom options does'nt hurt. With these old issues addressed Panzer Corps could really shine.

Thanks again for the hard work. Looking forward to trying out the new patch and getting into Allied Corps

Those are Axis units, Allied can capture and use in their core, so basically Axis units in Allied service if you can get hold of them and in Allied textures.
