Question on deploying 75mm anti-tank gun

Not sure where to post this question, but this seemed to be a sensible spot. I'm in the midst of playing a PBEM game with a friend of mine. We happen to be playing the Winter Village Remix scenario, and on one turn, I was able to see one of his German half-tracks deploy a unit into a house. Due to other pressing tactical concerns, I didn't get to attack the house with my nearby units (a Sherman and an M5). I figured that he deployed some engineer unit so I kept a little distance from the house to avoid the potential assault on my armored units. Well, it turns out he deployed a 75mm anti-tank gun INSIDE that house! Well...you can imagine the "fun" that ensued.
So my question is this: given the size and mass of that unit in real life is that even possible to do?! I get deploying the unit at the edge of a forest, but INSIDE a house?!
Any insight would be appreciated. Personally, and as you can surmise from my post, I can't understand how this is even possible, so I'm more than a little annoyed at the moment.
Thanks!

there are places you can't place the 75mm tank gun, like tank traps but they go into houses.
If you assume that most of these houses are in a war zone and thus bombed out husks i would think you could put one in there

Hm. Not sure I agree with that explanation. Firstly, BA has different graphics to represent the state of a house. Again, I agree with you about placing a unit in rubble, but this was distinctly an in-tact house. Secondly, if you look at the stats for that gun (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7.5_cm_Pak_40), you'll see that the weight of the unit was 3,140 pounds with a length 20' 4". Somehow I can't envision that unit moving into a standing structure.
Still puzzled...and not at all happy!

I'm not an expert, nor did I set up the data, but most mid-sized guns are deployable in buildings and bunkers. Bear in mind the level of abstraction means that we aren't really talking about an individual house really.

Thanks Pip. I always forget about the abstraction because the house looks like an individual house!
*sigh*
I'm STILL not happy. The results from my last turn were completely unexpected. Between losing those units, and then seeing my friend take out two more tanks from 8-10 squares away (facing toward his units to ensure the best part of the armor was there), I'm kind of annoyed!
Not dead yet...just...annoyed.

As some WWII general probably used to say, sh** happens, lol...
While maybe not completely realistic, I think there is nothing you can really gripe about for long with it.
certainly, a 75mm starting out inside a house is more than reasonable. But I hear you - as far as driving up,
dumping off, and squeezing in - its a bit of a realism stretch but its just a fact of life in the gameplay and now you've learned from the experience... =/
