A guide to unit types in the game. Images to follow later.
There are 8 basic unit types in the game. 6 of them can be upgraded twice to more powerful versions with a different model. Each unit type is restricted to certain types of weapons, but all unit types can use all types of armor and devices. You can design new units by clicking on the "Workshop" button in the bottom center of the main screen. To create a new unit, click the "New" button under the list of active unit designs.
Units can gain ranks from experience in combat and can be built with advanced experience from certain types of buildings. Each successive rank increases unit power by 10%. There are 8 ranks in the game.

Seeker ATV:
Despite the similarities between Pandora and old Earth, tweaking properties like mass and moment of inertia for a light reconnaissance vehicle can mean the difference between life and death to its driver. The reported top speed for certain Xenomorph species is above 150 miles per hour, and in military circles exploration duty has become a sanction for disobedience.
Roger Raynor and his seeker trike are legendary among explorers, his adventures often told in bars and at campfires: How he outwitted a great worm by driving in circles, how he stole Vermillion's golden scarab escaping through the sea of grass, and how he tried to outrun a pack of black xenomorphs.

Avenger Tank:
War machinery brought along from the old world is limited, so in order to defend ourselves against the planet's dangerous native lifeforms as well as other factions, we have to initiate the construction of mankind's most feared field weapon: the tank.
As heavy, metal monsters of death and destruction, tanks often have the last word on the battlefield. They can be configured with several different types of turrets, allowing a high level of specialization.

Gaseous fuel is ionized and fed into an acceleration chamber containing magnetic and electrical fields, where particles are propelled by the Lorentz force out through the exhaust chamber. This produces an extremely high specific impulse with an exhaust velocity of up to and beyond 110,000 meters per second, allowing smaller airborne vessels with a limited power source to evolve into fast and agile fighters.
