Hi,

A complete fun army of poorly trained and equipped, (and properly poorly led :) )but well motivAted Scottish army from the first/second Scottish wars... As we all know prelude to the ecw.

I doubt I will win many prizes, but is going to be fun to play with. Get those models on the board... (Deployment 6/6/6/5) If i have done my maths i can go board edge to board edge with a few supports.

If terrain ends up dominating the centre the plan is to command out the average P+S.

Dragoons, horse and med art deny/delay flank sectors... Rest try to overwhelm with numbers.

I may be even mad enough to bring to britcon... I believe byron is working on a more sensible army choice.

At MK this year my poor BGs still managed to reroll to 6, in fact on few occasions did better than the average units...

Although once Tim has time to do his write ups, the clarity may dispell my disillusion :)

Generals: 1xGC, 3xTCs
10x BGs of 6s poor P+S
3x BGs of 6 average P+S
2x BGS of 2 average med art
3x BGs of 2 average light art
3x BGs of 3x average dragoons (arquebus)
2x BGs of 4x poor shooty horse, p/-/p

Total 23 battle groups/spot on 800pts

The three "all brown" units... One was near my board edge (2nd bg in) fought well as an overlap until over run. One in the middle somewhere near the wood and one on my "flank attack/right hook" that held up your breakthrough unit a few rounds too many... Your unit escaped being flanked by a very nice piece of Stilton cheeze width rules...
