My first impressions as I have them.

Upon receiving the email
- What the hell is this? I don't even-
*googles name again*
OH GOD YES. THIS. WOOT.
Launching the game
Well it does LOOK really nice, well presented.
Windowed mode is nice, but really minimal graphics settings. Though I suppose for a Civ style game that is understandable
First 5 Mins
So damn colourful- that is great. I was going to say I wish the Seeker had an auto-explore, but it is fun to drive through myself... however I would still wish that for after a few games when I have seen most everything before.
I wish there was a more clear way to tell win percentages, I cant tell from the data given it seems.
Oh I do like how the tech tree slowly reveals itself. For a moment there I thought it was tiny for the beta.
Zenomorphs, everywhere. I wish I hadn't tried to attack that hive.
What does "no device" even mean?
Great, second town gone and so many zenomorphs I can't hold my ground.
Over next hour
Why are these birds so hell bent on destroying all my improvements, I know they are terraformed but would they really be that smart?
And lovely, the birds also love to kill. At least I know how to make my own units now,
Bombardment seems to take too long and is too underpowered to help against single units, only seems to be good vs hives. But I guess that could be the point.
It feels SO good to take down a hive. Especially when it spawns right next to your home city at the start of the game.
I like how when you get troops together they seem to work better as an army then on their own, also despite being annoying at times I think it is really interesting that right now I feel like I am fighting more against the wildlife then with the other players.
Got first crash when trying to refit a colonial trooper- Guess I should have updated my version before playing but I was just so excited. Great game and I look forward to playing it more and giving more feedback as I go along
