Well lets take the plunge.
We are going to start a tournament for the beginners or novices amongst us.
If all goes well we could make it a regular thing, with the winners moving onto a more experienced tournament.
If people could post the following:
1. Suggestions for which scenario we would use.
2. Names of players wishing to participate.
3. Structure of tournament
4. Any other suggestions, I will act as one of the tournament admins, could do with some others who are interested in getting this type of thing up and running.
You never know if successful I don't see why we couldn't have some sort of league structure going.
Ill run this post for one week, so in one week from today (4th June) I will compile the tournament with matches to start on Friday 7th June.
All the best

My suggestions: and this is me entering.
1. Close Combat Redux
2. Protectivedaddy
3. Knock out type, each player plays each other 2, as allies then as axis, the overall flag score is what counts, adding result of both games together, whoever has most flag holds win the round. A 1/16 then 1/8 then 1/4 then semis then finals.
The drawing would be simple as people post their usernames they would be given a number, I posted first so I'm number 1 whoever posts next is number 2 etc. if there is 16 players then 1 will play player 9, 2 will play player 10, 3 will play player 11 etc.
So this format:
Matchup 1 - 1 plays 9 = winner plays winner of match 2
Matchup 2 - 2 plays 10 = winner plays winner of match 1
Matchup 3 - 3 plays 11 = winner plays winner of match 4
Matchup 4 - 4 plays 12 = winner plays winner of match 3
Matchup 5 - 5 plays 13
Matchup 6 - 6 plays 14
Matchup 7 - 7 plays 15
Matchup 8 - 8 plays 16
You get the gist.
Winner will be crowned newbie champion.
A list of proposed matches will be posted and it is up to each player to create their allied game and post password on the tournament post for the opponent, results will again be posted by each player on the tournament post so as to ensure no cheating.
Obviously a time restraint will apply and anyone person going over the time restraint will forfeit and their opponent will pass through to next round.

Good initiative. How many MP games played as the cutoff? You might have some who want to join wondering.

What would people recommend, I have played around 100 mp matches myself, though only half have been finished............I'd say it would go off time instead of matches played, as at one stage I had 12 outstanding matches which opponent didn't take there turn...........
So lets say 6 month play time is cut off.
