I finished GC 39 to 41 after patch 1.14 on FM. Now I am playing GC 42/43 West. Syracuse will be next. The patch notes list Josef Priller to be added as a special hero during this campaign, but unfortunately not when.

Does anyone know, when this special hero will appear? Or did I miss him somehow?

It seems he should appear during Syracuse, on the second turn, an FW 190A unit. So you should meet him shortly.
