Got the RC notice today, and I have to say I am impressed Slitherine got the US War Memorial Holiday postponed this weekend so US fans and testers could participate. Otherwise most all US fans would be ruled out by the huge holiday, War Memorials, parades, air shows, etc. Nice you worked around that! Oops.

But seriously: sounds like you took some comments on 1.20 seriously. But then you slap all US beta testers in the face by launching the RC on WWII Memorial Day Weekend, so we can't participate. I know this is an international game, but is the US that inconsequential? I now this isn't "Panzer Corps." Or the visionsed Russian Campaign. But I thought it was "Allied Corps." and you throw it out after lots of controversy and changes on WWII Memorial Day holiday for testing?

Well, it was updated on a Friday, like most betas were, that's all there is to it. Nothing new here, and if they want to meet the release date, waiting to delay further testing would not make sense I think. I'm sorry, but I don't really understand why you seem so upset? Or did I miss some of the sarcasm?

I have been through a similar ordeal, not too long ago: One those beta releases was on 3rd of May, less than 24h before this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remembrance_of_the_Dead and this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberation ... erlands%29 And I have two friends who have their birthdays in the same weekend. So I had a slow start, thanks to those malicious people at Slitherine who conned me out of two days of testing!!! Somehow I doubt that postponing that beta release for those reasons would have been well received.

If you are really busy this weekend and feel like you are missing out, I'm sorry for you, but I'm sure the devs are not out to deprive you or anyone else from participating. I barely have any spare time this weekend because last Friday afternoon some urgent requests for legal advice came in the mail, so I've spent the larger part of Saturday catching up on labour law. Sunday will be spent on child protection laws and divorce laws. Fun times.

I appreciate your dedication to not miss any beta testing, but if the devs have to postpone testing for major holidays in large countries, or lock out every beta from use on certain days, would that honestly have your preference? I would think that during holidays a lot of people would have extra time for testing.

Unless they disable the internet during the Memorial Day holiday, I don't quite see how anyone could prevent you from posting your useful and very much appreciated contributions? And no, that last bit is not sarcasm, I really appreciate the effort you put into this. It's easy to see that you care a lot, it really shows, but sometimes things just don't work out in your favour. It happens, but that's life.
