Check out page 43 of the manual--sand being kicked up from artillery bursts and heat make aiming artillery harder.

The Recommended Reading Thread - North Africa

What books and websites about the North African campaigns do you recommend?
I've found this website -
http://www.desertrats.org.uk/battles1940.htm - which provides an entertaining narration of the battles of 1940. I can recognize many of the battles from the DLC in here, which is rather nice.
I don't have my copy anymore, but I enjoyed An Army At Dawn. It's a colorfully written history of the US Army's first WWII campaign, from Torch to Tunisia.
What do you guys recommend?
