First Impressions, ~30 mins total playtime

Install was standard, no problems encountered.
Menu is mininalist, about what I expected for this type of game, started up a single player game. Ok, so these industrious asians of the solar dynasty are a little racist. Also, the religious conservatives of the Divine Ascention don't really seem like the type to have an almost topless leader... I'd have a morale bonus too if the pope had a rack like that. At any rate the races all seem fairly straightforward, each clearly has their focus, pretty standard for this type of thing. I do like that the hippies have a bonus that keeps the aliens from being too agressive, thats a nice touch and I was actually going to suggest it before I noticed it was already there.
Gameplay
Intuitive, since I play 4x games a lot the game mechanics made sense out of the box. However, it doesn't seem that much different from any other game of this genre. You build your town, you assign your research, you build your stuff in the production queue and can buy it out if you want. I mean if it aint broke don't fix it I get it, also I'm literally barely 25 turns in so I've not seen most of the game, these are just my first impressions. The aliens are tough as nails, I noticed that and they are actually kicking my ass at the moment but I clearly underestimated how much military I'd need so I'm going to restart. The research tree worries me, I don't like not being able to see everything down the line. I hope there are more research paths than are apparent at the beginning of the game.
Graphics
The graphics are vibrant and all but nothing really stands out as WOW. I'd really like the textures on the ground to be more hi res, it's jarring when you zoom all the way in and it's so pixelated.
I'll go back and play some more, after a few hours I'll add to this. Thanks for letting me play and tell you what I think.
