Greetings,

I am coming a bit late to the party as the machine that was to be used for testing decided to shuffle off the mortal coil and it took a bit to replace it. I have a few observations so far and a question:

Observations:

• The GUI, graphics and sound are all good. The visuals give a sense of an alien world without being too baroque and distracting from game play.
  The factions seem really familiar (SMAC). Obviously there are some pretty basic archetypes that one would expect in an ideological faction game, but there are times it seems like the numbers have just been filed off another game.
  I have been having the same issue others have had with the hives. I clear them but can't destroy them.

Question:
Is there a manual of some sort or an online help function that I am missing (beyond the readme). The Help system is really not that helpful in terms of game mechanics. For example it is unclear to me how operations work, specifically Orbital Bombardment. I get the advance and the building and the operation shows up in the list but when I click on the button nothing seems to happen, no targeting options, etc.

Thanks for the feedback.

We plan to improve the usability of operations to make it clearer and more intuitive how you can use them. Regardless, they can be deployed by right clicking on a valid territory.

Thanx for the feedback Michael! As for the instruction manual, yes there will be one included with the game and not one of those one page bullshit ones either. roughly half of it will be a "instruction manual" and half will be a kind of storybook explaining some of the back-story with short stories and nice images in an attempt to spark the players imagination and give the story a bit more meat.
