Awards

I just wanted to point something out with regards to rewards. This has bugged me for a while. Considering PzC is a operational scale game that focuses on larger units and no individuals I would see it more fitting to award UNIT awards for combat actions.

All of the awards currently in game are INDIVIDUAL awards. I would suggest UNIT awards are more fitting.

Current Awards
Good Conduct Medal - Not a combat medal. This is awarded to any Service Member who completes three years of service
Silver Star - Third highest gallantry award in combat action.
Distinguished Service Cross - Second Highest gallantry award that can be awarded in combat
Medal of Honor - Highest gallantry award that can be awarded in combat

Proposed Unit Awards
Distinguished Unit Citation - Awarded to units for gallantry, determination, and esprit de corps in accomplishing its mission under extremely difficult and hazardous conditions as to set it apart and above other units participating in the same campaign. Equivalent to the Distuinguished Service Cross
Meritorious Unit Commendation - Awarded to units for displaying exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding service, heroic deeds, or valorous actions - not awarded until 1944 though :-/

Alright - So we need 1 lower and 1 higher unit award. I'm not smart on British Unit Awards, but I'm sure there's something out there.

Well, the system is following the pattern set by Panzer Corps.

The awards there were for individuals.

The way I visualise it is the award is to one of the heroes, or if the unit has none, an upcoming hero.

TBH, the only problem I have is with the George Cross, as that was primarily a civilian award.

Yeah. That was always weird - recieving an award with no hero. Who did it go to? The commander?

And like I said, the Good Conduct Medal isn't a combat award.

AT least consider replacing the Good Conduct Medal with the Bronze Star. In WW2 it was awarded for valor in combat.
