A couple things I note so far
Desert areas are too featureless.
There should be.
1. Sand (one point of movement)
2. Soft Sand (two or three points of movement)
3. Rough (2 points of movement)
4. Hills (3 points or more of movement to impassable)
5. Gullies or Arroyos (2 points to impassable)
And more possibilities as the desert is far from featureless.
Although for the intentions of the scenarios they wanted it to be plain.
Let alone the other option
6. Predesignated minefields!
The African plain in some areas were lousy with them.
