If a cavalry unit destroys an artillery battery in combat, does the cavalry have to conduct a pursuit move?

I guess its the same as destroying infantry - there is no pursuit. The Combat Outcomes say that pursuit occurs if the enemy retires. A destroyed unit has not retired.
