Slitherine

A column of four battle wagons, 8 base widths long, would turn 90 degrees to a line 4 bases wide. Is this allowed? We were reading the rule that insists the width of the turned front should be the minimum number of base widths to match the former depth. Our assumption was that if this could not be done, the turn could not be made.

A sound assumption in my view. BWg are a bit of an exception and we may need to clarify them specifically at some point onthe website but in general I would rule as you have intimiated at present.
