Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere, but is there a plan to incorporate SE units in the Allied core? I'm really missing the extra core slots.

That is covered in one of the stickies or notes on AC. I think by tunisia I had three, 1 Spitfire, 1 P-47, and a nice commando unit (a few are available, US Rangers, SAS, etc). Good units, and I think the devs chose well instead of giving mediocre allied tanks.

Thanks for the info. I just finished second alamain and I have not gotten any special (SE type) units in addition to my standard core of 18. Just wondering when they would start being phased in.

I got my first SE Spitfire at the start of Crete; so far I've gotten nothing but Spitfires, but there are some other types available as well. If you want to see which, just start a separate scenario like Tunisia, which has both Brits and Americans, and use the 'all eqp' cheat, than you can browse the purchase screen to check them out.

Do they show up as plus-core units? For example, in Panzer Corps, If I was at a point in the game where there were only 20 core slots available, and I had 2 SE units, my core would show up as 20 + 2 (and the two obviously do not count against the core). My core is 18, with no "plus" units. Getting all the way through to Second Alamain without getting an "SE" unit bonus seems long overdue.

And do they show up as additional units to your core? Like 15 +3?

Yes they do.

Yes they do, just like in regular Panzer Corps. I now have three (still at Second Alamein).

Then the SE Gods must not like me, as I have gotten none this far into things.

It took me quite a while to get one. A nice Spitfire. I got two more in quick succession. Also Spitfires.
