Interception charge meets enemy BG

What happens when an interception charge meets (partially) an enemy BG, other than the original charges.
In a game yesterday, an interception of a group of knights on a charging group of cavalry would take place only if intervening LF would evade to clear the way that was otherwise physically blocked by the LF.
Possibilities:
1) LF evades with VMT, then knights make interception move, then cavalry chargers move and contact interceptors.
2) Interception cannot take place because interceptors are physically blocked by the LF

What would have happened if we had non skirmishes instead of LF? can interceptors enter the path of the chargers only by pressing forward after contacting a third BG found in the ZOI?

IIRC you have to be able to intercept to... err... intercept.

So even something pathetic like LF can stop an intercept.

However, also remember (possibly unrelated) - a BG cannot intercept if it is itself the target of a charge.

Intercept cannot happen.

Intercepts are moved before evades, so the LF would not get out of the way, anyway
