I have only recently started playing Commander: Europe at War after buying it in 2012. I am playing the game on a MacBook Pro Retina Display machine under Mac OsX 10.8.3. The version of the game I am playing is V1.06. Note that I playing the standard version of the game, not the "Grand Strategy" variant.

I have read the manuals and searched my MacBook but I cannot find where the saved games are stored. I would like to delete some of the older saved games.

Could somebody please tell me how I can delete the saved games.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

The files are saved inside the Application.

Right-click on the application.
In the drop down menu select "Show package Contents" . This will open a new finder window with a folder named 'Contents'
Open that folder 'Contents' if see the folders named 'hotseat', 'pbem' , 'save', 'tcpip' , inside those folders are where the types of games are saved.

In the 'save' folder are games against the AI.

If you open the 'Contents' and and do not see those folders described above, open the 'Resources' folder then
Right-click on 'CEAW.app' , in the drop down menu select "Show package Contents". Open 'Contents'.

You should see the folders described above and go to the appropriate folder and delete (place in trash) your files.

Once done deleting your files. Here is a tip - go up one level or in folder view, select the folder (ie. 'save' ) Right-click to 'Make Alias' drag alias to Dexktop.

When done you can either use the back button back to the Applications folder or close those windows, then in the Finder open a new Finder Window.

Dear pk867,

Thanks very much, the second of the two approaches you suggested worked perfectly. I can now spring clean.
