Can one buy more than one contingent of the same ally?
Big foot in mouth as usual Dave then....dave_r wrote:Interesting question. I'm going to say no - the relevant part in the army book states:

No Spike - that exactly proves my point - since it is specifically specified that two allied contingents are available then it stands to reason that unless this is specified then only one allied contingent is available. That is the point about the question mark.spike wrote:Big foot in mouth as usual Dave then....dave_r wrote:Interesting question. I'm going to say no - the relevant part in the army book states:

Try from memory Italian Condotta, can have 2 Italian Condotta Allied commands!

Only if the list specifies it Matt. Check out the Early Tang - they can have 2 contingents of Later Horse Nomads for example. Can one buy more than one contingent of the same ally?
And I can find several others Dave I just knew that one existed from memory... Try Later Hindu Indian- Rajput, Three Kingdoms Korean- Shila and Kaya (who can in fact have 3 allied contingents from the same list!), Gallic and probably more.spike wrote:Big foot in mouth as usual Dave then....dave_r wrote:Interesting question. You've missed the entire point behind the question. The OP was asking when an army list states you can have allies does that mean you can have multiple allied contingents from that one allied nation. Hence the request for an army that has multiple allied lists from the same ally.spike wrote:And I can find several others Dave I just knew that one existed from memory... Funny how everybody understood this other than you?
Very amusing Richard, but it didn't answer the question, and since everyone else's answer is irrelevant if you chirp in to a thread please do.rbodleyscott wrote:Dave & Spike: Get a room.
