Moving within 2" of enemy

The CMT table has a direct contradiction in respect to CMT's needed when within 2" of the enemy.
The 3rd Movement item in the CMT table page 45 states that it is a simple move if wheeling or turning to face enemy within 2MU. The very next item (the fourth) makes it a complex move if making a facing or formation change within 2MU. Turning to face is thus both simple AND complex.
So, which is it when within 2MU ? Complex or Simple ?

As I am no expert I assume that making a facing or formation change within 2MU other than wheeling or turning to face enemy within 2MU is a complex move. The rules lawyers would know more (assuming this is the intent of the rules) then there is usually something about where there is a specific rule and a general rule, the specific rule has precedence. That's how I would read it in this case.

So you might think . . . however the CMT table very clearly provides for a turn to face an enemy within 2MU as being both simple AND complex. Some opponents I have played say it is simple (when it suits them); others, complex (ditto). I don't really mind, which - I just want a definitive answer.

Note the slightly different wording on the updated QRS:
-Turn or wheel to face enemy within 2MU...simple/simple
-Other change of formation while otherwise stationary...complex

As Blathergut says, the answer can be found in the latest (January 2013) updated QRS (downloadable at
http://www.fieldofglory.com/fog_nap )
Under the heading "
Within 2MU of enemy":
"
Turn or wheel to face enemy within 2MU - Simple"
"Pivot to face enemy (Infantry in extended line only) - Complex
"Other change of formation while otherwise stationary - Complex"
Which clarified what we (meaning those of us who are gentlemen, rather than scoundrels) have been doing. Unless in extended line, you can always freely line up to face enemy within 2MU. Any other formation change within 2MU requires a CMT (or is not allowed if wavering).
Cheers
Brett

The point about this move is that it is to FACE the enemy.
Any formation change within 2MU that does not end with the unit 'facing' the enemy is complex.
This stops units changing formation against a threat from further away without spending a CP and passing a test - even if the enemy within 2MU is wavering.

Yay, that is fantastically clear . . . to paraphrase: any wheel or turn toward an enemy within 2" is a SIMPLE move . . . phew.
