DV and defensive scenario prestige tweaks

It may be useful to have a field in the scenario editor for rewarding extra prestige depending on how fast a player finishes a scenario. This can be a parameter specified as something like "per turn prestige for finishing early." If the number is 100, and the player finishes 5 turns early, then he gets 500 extra prestige, in addition to all the other prestige he would earn. In practice, this number should be fairly high, perhaps something like 300-500 in late war scenarios. This should only apply for DV, as a bonus for players who finish very fast. Although, for scenario design purposes, it could be worth it to have this field for each victory condition: loss, MV, and DV.

Right now, to maximize per turn prestige in defensive scenarios, it is necessary to play out the full number of turns even if the player accomplished his objectives early. A simple solution is to simply reward the player with the remaining per turn prestige if he finishes a scenario early. For example, if a scenario rewards 100 prestige per turn, and the player finishes 3 turns early, he should get the remaining 300 prestige during the deployment screen of the next scenario.

What a pity if they would introduce this. A lot of turkey shooting parties would end. :D

Many people (myself included) place units around the last victory hex, but leave it unoccupied, for the AI to spawn units. Immediately thereafter, those are shot from all around. Only in the last turn the hex is taken.

A nice way to gain some experience, you know. :wink:

I call that "experience milking" and tbh considering how predictable and easy this is simple a cheat to add some experience to your units should be used here, it saves some time. :P

We already have this in the campaign file.

Why would we need it in the editor when we already have it?

It is based upon the winning conditions.

With a turn setting you could fine tune it, but do we really need it?

If you are winning too early then the scenario victory conditions can be adjusted, example; from -1 to -3
