Hi

i have a question regarding Gates of Troy. The manual says that the strength of the Ionian Greek lies in their infantry, which can double as marines when at sea. What does this mean? Have the Ionian Greek a fighting bonus at sea or do they have unique units?

Thanks
Frank

When they are on board ship they get big combat bonuses. Cavarly get large penalties when on ship and missile troops tend to get some bonus.

Hi Iain

so this means that 5 Peltastes from Athen (Ionian Greek) fights better at sea than 5 Peltastes from Sparta?

Bye

I can't remember exactly how it works. I'm not sure Sparta gets acces to the Elite Peltasts. The Ionian nations also get wood bonuses that allow them to keep fleets at sea more easily.
