autobreak

just a question i need clearing up when a BG loses a certain amount of bases they auto break and are removed from the game. what happens to the attacking BG do they pursuit for 1 move or if they pass a CMT can choose ??

Hi grandad

BG's broken on base losses still have their initial rout and joint action rout providing they still have bases before they are taken off table so any pursuers would continue as normal with any CMT's if needed.

The exception to this is if the BG is artillery or battlewagons. They don't rout, they are just eliminated. There is no pursuit.

The section of the rules on "Autobreak" specifies when in the turn sequence the autobroken unit is finally removed.

The section of the rules covering the "Detailed Turn Sequence" will show whether this is before or after pursuits take place.

I do not have the page references to hand for these two sections of the rules, however both of these sections are listed in the index at the back of the rules with a page reference for each.
