How will the Legion arena (LA) command system work ? From Spatan and CoW we know that the player has to give orders first and then can watch the aciton, which is imo a very realistic procedure and also the player has not to fall into a clicking frenzy as in RTW.
In LA the player is supposed to have some more control. Now, how does that work ? How often can commands be changed ? Will it take some reaction time from changing the command to the actual changes on the map? Can it happen that the command will be ignored/not received by the unit ?
Will the units e.g. throw their pilums automatically before close combat or can they be ordered not to ?
Will the employment of reserves make any sense (imo in Spatan or CoW it doesn??™t)?

Btw: Congratulations to the very cool website !

first you make a battle plan.

then after the fight starts you can give orders to individual units.
it will cost a certain ammount of "order points" depending on the unit type, its formation, the units morale, and skills the unit has.

your pool of order points, and the ammount regenerated points per second is depending on the skills your general has.

there is a short delay (2 secs perhaps) before the unit follows an order (you cant give other orders in that reaction time too).

commands will not be ingnored.

AFAIK you cannot order your units to hold back their ranged weapons.

and sadly, the use of reserves does not make any sense... :(
(i would love to see reserves too.)

have fun,
