ARMY LISTS: The Umpire and List Checker is Richard Bodley Scott (rbs@byzant.demon.co.uk) 28 Priory Gardens, Usk, Monmouthshire, NP5 1AJ.
Army lists must be submitted for checking in advance and must be received by the List Checker at least 2 weeks before the event.

its interesting and good fun when you are trying to find the least rubbish of a selection of rubbish lists that suits your style, should be fun

Can byron and use it as our excuse for a rubbish final placing on the day

Attack! is less than two weeks away. Any word on what armies are going to be used or is everyone still practice to find the best worse army.

Well Ben has submitted our army list to Richard so by the end of this weekend he should be able to put the runners and riders out.

Tried the Early Restoration Portuguese, Later Ottoman Turkish and Later Spanish (Only in Spain or Italy) but could not find the correct formation. Certain the Later Ottomans will be popular with all those guns.

Finally let Ben decide on the army. Have to wait and see what happens.

I can not see anything on the website but I am aiming to be there by 8:45 am for a start just after 9:00 am. I expect Richard can tell us when he is going to start the games.

no I haven't I thought they were for Britcon but will bring them down to Devizes for you, do you need 4 in addition to Byrons army or 4 including Byrons army

I did not think you were playing.

If Nigel had asked I might have been able to lend him and Byron 4x Battlegroups of cavalry for Attack!

So Nigel and Byron are using Ottomans as other wise it would be horse for Attack!

Spoke to him last night at Abingdon and have agreed to bring the figures with me next Saturday.

You will not have to get up so early to get to Devizes by 9:00 am.

Could we please borrow figs for byrons army. Bob has kindly offered to lend me the 4x BGs of mounted for Devises we need for our army and i am going to use these for my scots cavalry for britcon.

Runners and Riders

Some duplication. Not surprising given the narrow theme...

At least I have the excuse that Tom and I used Later Venetian Colonial at Devizes before (in 2011) and they were crap...



And Alasdair is lurking with Ottomans, and may appear if anyone fails to turn up.

Ben and I are both going to bring a TYW Peninsular Spanish army so we can divide into two singles if a team does not turn up.
