Hi All
well last month i painted up a samurai army for FOGR and have Mongol army as well so got them both out and had a game with some mates ,We could not beleive how one sided the battle was ... That much ,that when down the pub after a hard wargaming club meeting with the other memeber of the club they could not believe it there selfs so next meeting and i took them along a 800pt game .. not too big a game so the mongols could have a bit of room to move round and not need a flank march to get round.

Well it did not go well for the Mongols again they just are out classed in every part of the game.. shooting they have the have the fire power but when the WHOLE jap army is armoured and hitting them on 5and 6 is hard to get 1 per 3 to test and as for shooting cas ! come on -2 with bow fire ...(which is fair dont have a issue with at all)
and not only did the samuria have more units than the mongols they where bigger units as well

I think i wll keep them as a FOGA army

Think this is the biggest miss match i have ever play as a pts game .. we all had a cracking game and the mongols toasted there defeat down the pub with the samuria buying the first round

I am notoriously euro-centric in my armies but I did have a go at this exact match up a couple of weeks ago when playing at the club. My experience matched yours exactly.
