Problem with new update and suppressed units

Pip has already described that there were changes made to the Husky update where suppressed units, and certain other units (or situations)
will not draw enemy fire. I assume this change was made since one or two people mentioned it on the forum (although I might be wrong).
So I get that the intent was to stop a player from using a troop transport or suppressed unit from drawing fire, which would then use up
opportunity retrun fire, and then that player could freely roll up and take shots.
However, here's an example where I think this change affects very valid shots.
In the screen shot, you can see my jeep in to the bottom left and it's suppressed.
The trail was where I moved the jeep from originally.
So here's the problem, not one of my opponent's 5 tanks, nor his infantry fired on my suppressed jeep as it ran away to safety.
Now he'll never be able to catch the jeep and I can escape further while I recover my morale only to enter the fray again.
I had already stated this,...something that appears to be a simple change, can throw something else out of whack.
In my opinion,...there's no way my jeep should be allowed to escape that easy.
It should have been fired upon (and possibly destroyed), which then would have blown it's movement points.
Note: Make sure you scroll down to see the jeep in the picture.
