Odd save game issue with PBEM

Hello

Currently I am involved in a mirrored pbem game. My opponent sends me 2 save game files. I play the one and is saves over top of the original file. when finished i stay in the game (I do not exit) and then load his next turn. I play the turn and then end. When I go to look at the date stamp of the file it does not change. In addition the file does not get overwritten. It is still at the original turn when i started. SO if I quit the game and then load the turn I can then play and save properly... strange huh? Any chance to look at this?

Regards

Hi FF,

I'm not 100% sure I understand what you are saying. Could you try explaining it again - are either of the games saved? Just to be clear what is working and what is broken. What do you expect to happen.

Ok I am playing two pbem games. One as the allies and one as the axis. So lets say I play the allied turn first. I boot the game up and then load the game. I then play the turn and then hit the arrow button at the bottom right of the screen to end my turn. It then writes over the file I loaded up and puts me back out to the main menu of the game.

Now I then go to load the next game up using the same process. I load the turn (now I am playing axis.... btw... I do not think it matters what side or turn I am playing) I then play the turn and then hit the arrow button to end my turn.

Now I go to email the files off to my opponent. The first game shows the right time stamp of when I played that turn. The second turn shows the original time stamp of the my opponents turn (the one I loaded up to begin with) If I send it to him he cannot play it becasuse the turn never overwrote itself. It is the original turn.

Now if I play it first, the whole process works like it is supposed to.

so as a work around when I go to play the second turn I exit completely out of the game and then reload the game. It would be nice to not have to do this.

Thanks
FF
