Situation is as follows.

A group of Spear has stepped forwards to charge 2 groups of Legionaries which were not in a single line. The spear rout in the resultant combat phases, and flee with the legionaries in pursuit.

It’s not clear to me in the rout section in the JAP (Is it in another rule section), when they rout, do they?

A: Remain in their current formation
B: Reform into a single square block
C: Something else

There is nothing in the rules that I can think of to stop it being A.
