LORDS OF ITALY circa 280 BC

The conclusion of the Third Samnite War had rendered Rome master of central Italy. In the north -Cisalpine Gaul, powerful Celtic tribes whose ancestors had sacked Rome a century earlier, looked upon Roman expansionism with increasing alarm. In the south, the Greek cities of Magna Graecia felt equally threatened. Over the straights of Messina, the two hundred years conflict for supremacy over Sicily raged on between Carthage and Syracuse. Into the fray entered the shining knight of the Hellenistic world, Pyrrhus, king of Epirus and pretender to the throne of Macedonia. The scene is set for the Lords of Italy.

syracusans and carthaginians are similar armies. carthaginians are just more prestigious. keep in mind you will be playing all your games against your army of choice, syracusans here, in the second round.

Soeey, I'm not familiar with this format. So, in the first round I play all the other players including Syracuse, then in the "mirror round" I use the other armies to play against the Syacusans?

yes. you'll play all the players once in the first round with your syracusans. then you play all the players in the second round with their armies and they will use syracusans.

I closed recruitment.
each player will play 8 games in each of the two rounds.
if you have a busy life, i suggest you not pick up any additional games and try to bring down the number of games you're playing, as you are asked to average 1 turn a day with 8 games in the next month or so.
I will post the details of the first round in the next few days.
