What's Your Fav Map/Scenario?

Hey all,

I'm sure this has been asked before bit I haven't witnessed one lately. So I ask, what is your favorite map/scenario and why?

Right now (keep in mind I only have about 60 games under my belt) I keep going back to Meeting Engagement Redux. For me it feels like a very well balanced map with plenty of different options for attacking/defending/ambushing. I primarily play as Allied forces so my opinion may be a bit biased. However, I have encountered a few good players on this map lately and it has opened my eyes to great "new" Axis attack strategies. One guy put up a great fight using a foot soldier heavy squad. I did win but it surprised me and showed me yet another way to play this map. Always learning...

What's your fav?

I agree - the Redux games are the most fun. For set-piece scenarios, City River and On The Beaches stand out.

I just recently started a City River game for the first time. Its fun although I'm not sure if I am doing to well! It reminds me of the last fighting scene in Saving Private Ryan. Trying to cross that bridge is a B$&@?!!. I'll have to try On The Beaches now that you have mentioned it.

Hey Orange, in case you hadn't guessed it already I second the Meeting Engagement map based scenarios incl. the Fast & Sneaky ones. Great combo of movement and fire terrain with enough space for sneaky adventures behind enemy lines :)

The Ortona custom scenario rocks as well although totally different. It's nerve wrecking urban warfare at it's best where you can't even fart without immediately taking reaction fire!

Cheers

I havent played Ortona yet. I'll have to try it. Yeah, the fast and sneaky and armor versions of meeting engagement add a cool twist. I am playing a guy now that had 3 king tigers, 4 panthers, tiger, 2 wespes and still more. Notice I did say had. I've never encountered nor did I think you could even have an armored line up like that. Gotta love those hellcats!

Monsoeren, our games have been classic! Most entertaining yet...watch out for Monso!
