”2nd Six Nations Tournament – The Caliphate Sunset Contest”
Rules
The tournament foresees the presence of 6 participants, that will confront with a round robin scheme using 400 pts. armies, DM and FoW on, no allies allowed.
The nations and armies are the following:
Byzantines - Thematic Byzantine (later)
Hamdanids – Bedouin Dynasties (Hamdanid)
Abbasids – Abbasid Arab (later)
Armenians – Cilician Armenian (early)
Georgians – Georgian (1027-1117)
Khazars - Western Turkish (later Khazar)
The points will be awarded in regard of the outcome of the single battles, that may end with:
- a strategic victory / 6 pts.
- a tactical victory / 5 pts.
- a marginal victory /4 pts.
- a draw / 3 pts.
- a marginal defeat / 2 pts.
- a tactical defeat / 1 pt.
- a strategic defeat / 0 pts.
Draws happens accordingly to the Fog rules.
Instead, to determine if a victory is marginal, tactical or strategic, firstly the BG difference will be comprehensively calculated counting in positive for the winner the number of BGs lacking to reach the loss threshold and counting in negative for the looser the number of BGs overpassing it.
Example:
Venetians (34/39) = +5 / Milanese (47/41) = -6
BG difference = Venetians +11.
Then the above mentioned result will be compared to the total BG of the two armies and, if using the formula
a : b = x : 100
where
a = is the BG difference between the two armies
b = is the total BGs of both armies
x = is the data to find
this last will show
- a result up to 5 then a marginal victory will be achieved,
- a result from 5,01 to 15 then a tactical victory will be achieved,
- a result over 15 then a strategic victory will be achieved.
Example:
Venetians BG difference +11
Total BGs 39+41 = 80
11 : 80 = x : 100
11 x 100 = 1.100
1.100 : 80 = 13.75
Tactical Victory
If two or more players will end the Tournament with the same number of points their position will be determined taking care of the BG difference, that will be calculated counting in positive for the winner of every single match the number of BGs lacking to reach the rout threshold and in negative for the looser the number of BGs overpassing it.
