Say no to average knights and light guns.

Remember under v2 these average drilled can be bought as superior undrilled, which makes this list more interesting.

As for light guns. They are more fun than I imagined. Not a competition weapon, but fun.

The average undrilled knights dismount as superior HF, HW. What's not to like? Sure, they are a bit spendy for the purpose, but they give support to the shooters. I've already got 2 BGs of superior knights. The IC commands the main battle line of pike, crossbows and light arty, the longbow under a TC on one flank, knights on the other. Handgunners try to be a nuisance from ambush, hopefully able to enfilade whatever the LB are shooting at for the -1 CT. This is an army that likes congested terrain that doesn't hinder shooting - open and enclosed fields to channel heavy troops and provide safety to the MF. I love the look on an opponents face when his mounted get pinned by longbow shooting from rough terrain. The biggest problem is the reliance on undrilled troops to carry the fighting. Knights either win big or lose big, and with a general in the mix things can go from desperate to victorious or vice versa in one melee.

Guns are cool, I find they don't keep up with longbows though, maybe handy support for Xbows? I would not have more than 1 BG.

Don't try and skirmish/ambush with one group of handgunners, thier time is better spent giving -1's to what ever your longbows are aiming at.

As long as the plan is not to try fight with the lanceless avg knights, it should work out.
