First post!

Finally going to be playing my first game this Friday night against Paolo.
Unfortunately neither of us is going to have time beforehand to look at lists
(I tried last night but it was taking me ages just to work out the points
values - yes I know this is changing - so I didn't even get to list design).

We were planning Abbasid against Ottoman, so does any kind soul have
lists for these they could send me? Obviously as this is a first game,
anything will do, just to put figures on the table, but with sensible armies.

Hi Peter - I used Later Ottomans at Britcon - although lost more than I won!

Here's the list I used:

IC
2 x TC
1 x Serb Ally TC
3 x 4BG of Timariots, Sup Cav, Undrilled, Protected, Bow, Sw
2 x 6BG of Akinjis, Avg LH, Undrilled, Unprotected, Bow
2 x 8BG of Azabs, Avg LF, Undrilled, Unprotected, Bow
1 x 4 BG Azab HG, Poor LF, Undrilled, Unprotected, Handgun
1 x 4BG Janissary HG, Sup, LF, Undrilled, Unprotected Handgun
1 x 4BG Ialyars, Sup MF, Undrilled, Protected, Impact Foot, Sword
1 x 4BG Serb Light Cav, Avg LH, Undrilled, Unprotected, Lance, Sword
2 x 4BG Serb Knights, Sup, Undrilled, HvArm Knights, Lance, Sword

Should be 800 points - ish!

Thanks Pete, that's Paolo sorted out! Just need an Abbasid list.

Reminds me, on element costs, am I right in thinking Ghilman cavalry are
13 as superior armoured cavalry, +1 for drilled, +2 for sword, +3 for bow?
So 19 points?

And Abid spear, 5 as average protected infantry, +1 for drilled, +1 for
sword, and +1 for impact light spear (is this impact??) or +1 for defensive
spear? So 8 points either way.

Abbasid 'abid can either be:

HF, Protected, Drilled, Average, Light Spear, Swordsmen

or

HF, Protected, Drilled, Average, Defensive Spearmen

In either case this costs 7 points per base.
It either case they have a 3rd rank of LF, Bow, costing 5 points per base.

Ghilman do cost 19 points.

Bedouin lancers as LH, unprotected, undrilled, average, lancers, swordsmen cost 8 points

Abbasid 'abid can either be:

HF, Protected, Drilled, Average, Light Spear, Swordsmen

or

HF, Protected, Drilled, Average, Defensive Spearmen

In either case this costs 7 points per base.

Hi Tim,

I'd forgotten your site! The Dailami looks good, my all time favourite army,
would be perfect. Not sure how I deal with Serbian knights, but...
