Is it possible to deactivate the briefings ? Even if I rename the briefing folder, I get a standardized briefing from "UI / briefing.htm". If I rename this file, I get a white screen if i want to start the campaign.

You mean the intel briefings before each battle, why would you want to turn that off?

Yes, I mean the intel briefings. I want to turn them off because I don't need them

I agree but why on the tutorials do you get a German voice reading out the details of your mission but in the DLC's he's gone to the Eastern Front and you have to read it yourself??

By the time you arrive at the eastern front the High Command thinks you was able to develop reading skills by yourself. You are a big soldier now after all.
But seriously it's due to cost and time constrictions. The production time of the DLCs is a lot shorther then of the main game and waiting for the voices to be recorded would add a lot of time to it. You obviously can't record them before beta testing as they may change in the process. Additionally the DLCs are priced quite cheap at 5 Euro and a good voice acting and recording not only takes time but costs money as well. It would be impossible for the developers to keep a fair price on the DLC with the added voices. I am afraid tho you have to take my by my word for that as i can't find the topic where the developers explained the issue anymore.

When he starts speaking just click on it and you go into the game.

Oh, I know how to proceed
But I want to deactivate the entire intel briefings... So I can start a campaign without being forced to read them or watching a white screen... Is this possible ?

I am quite sure the game is hard coded to display the briefings at the start and you probably can't stop it tho only a developer can really answer that question. On the other hand you are probably the only person in the world that would use that feature.

Actually he might be one of three or so. I recall seeing a credit to 'mautschi' somewhere for doing the translation work for the German language version. It may well be the same person. In which case this otherwise ridiculous request makes sense.

Just to confirm what others have suggested already: there is no option to disable a briefing.

You know I always thought that on some of the campaign briefings (specifically the ones on the losing or marginal trees) the officer giving the briefing should be screaming and shouting and even insult the player.
