I am confused by this game, is it NEW or a "re-mastered" version of an existing game?

Are there any preview/reviews that I can analyze to help me make a "buy" decision? The game description and screenshots look great but I have been fooled before. . .

The game has been fully remastered with every asset and mission upgraded, new units etc, but the gameplay style is very similar to the original game.
