The basis for winning is to capture the 5 flags. It appears that the should be a cross correlation between battle losses and the number of flags captured (e.g.: I was one turn from capturing two flags, thereby winning. There were no French tanks left and the three infantry units we're in retreat). I surmiss that the combination of "decimation" and proximity, vis-a-vie capturing the flags, should be a viable criteria for winning. And I am not "whining."

I finally succeeded. Then I did the exact same thing 5 more times and lost each time. It all depends on luck.... Does the PaK36 survive? Does the SdKfrzg 251 make it across the battle field and back successfully? Do the French reinforce the east side farm house or attack? Everyone of these changed the outcome. At least I won once.
